Abstract
|

|
Metaphyseal Dysostosis is an extremely rare idiopathic anomaly of skeletal development related to abnormal maturation of growth plate chondroblasts.
Clinical attention was apparently first directed to disease in 1934 by Jansen. Metaphyseal Dysostosis is so rarely. encountered that it is difficult to formulate a composite description of its clinical aspect. Skeletal abnormalities resembled those of achondroplasia and hypophosphatemic rickets.
Author recently experienced a case in a 6-year-old, children complaining stunted growth and waddling gait and report with brief review of references.
